Where can I get help in making my online purchase of these courses?

Please read through these FAQs to answer questions you may have about purchasing. If you still need help after reading these, contact Customer Service via e-mail at info@ls-elearning.com.

How soon after buying a course subscription will I be able to use the courses?

Almost immediately. After making your payment via PAYPAL, you will receive a confirmation receipt e-mail and your Student ID and password, along with instructions for signing on to take a course within 24 hours.

How can I add Instant Mentoring for courses I have previously purchased?

Some courses already have Instant Mentoring features included. All courses priced at $83 and above have the feature. For all courses priced at $82 and below, Instant Mentoring feature is not included. In these cases, on the payment page, you will be presented with the Option to Add the Instant Mentoring Feature to your shopping cart. If you have already purchased courses and would like to add Instant Mentoring to your subscription, please e-mail info@ls-elearning.com citing your User ID and course title.

How do I take a course?

It is very easy. On the left side of LSEL International site http://www.ls-elearning.com, You simply enter your ID and password. Then your list of courses appears. Click a course title to take that course. You may be prompted to adjust browser settings the first time you access a Business Skills Video course. You can bookmark within the traditional HTML-based courses by clicking the exit button when finished with your course session (there is no need to create a browser favorite). Using the pause button within a Business Skills Video course allows you to save your place for the next session.

Can I sign on to the courses from another computer?

Yes, as long as the computer has Internet access and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. You can be signed on to the courses from only one computer at a time.

What kind of computer setup must I have to take the HTML-based courses?

The following are the minimum user system requirments necessary to enjoy maximum access to the HTML-based courses:

  • P200+ Processor, 32MB of RAM
  • Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista
  • Minimum screen resolution 800x600
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
  • Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher
  • Adobe Flash 8.0 or higher
  • 56K minimum connection; broadband (256 kpbs or higher) connection recommended
  • Javascript, DHTML and cookies enabled
  • Sound card with speakers or headphones strongly recommended

Note: Because Lsel Int. launches in a pop-up window, pop-up blocking software must be disabled. If you have a firewall or cookie management software, please allow www.ls-elearning.com as a trusted site.

Can I take these courses on my Macintosh computer?

We do not formally support our courseware on the Macintosh platform. If you choose to try to use the courses on a Macintosh, you need to be aware that they will not have full functionality, specifically within the Authorware simulations and the supplied files. However, if you are a Macintosh user and make use of a Windows emulator, Authorware simulations and supplied files may function. Since we do not test with Macintosh or Windows emulators, we cannot guarantee our courses on the Macintosh platform.

What are the System Requirements for Business Video Skills Courseware?

The following is the minimum hardware required to use Business Skills Video courses:

  • P500+ Processor, 128MB of RAM

  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
  • Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher

Once you are within the course, the Settings tab shows the Video Quality Options for your specific connection. If you experience any issues with audio and video synching, try changing the setting to Medium or Low.

What modem speed is recommended for these courses?

The courses play well through 56 KB modems. Of course, play is faster as connection speeds increase. The traditional HTML-based courses are designed for highly efficient, real-time presentation with an average page size under 20 K. The Business Skills Video courses use streaming media at a rate of 15 Frames Per Second. The media is sent in a continuous stream and is played as it arrives rather than waiting for the complete file to download.

Do your courses offer any testing?

Yes. Our traditional HTML-based courses offer testing in two ways. Students encounter and answer questions throughout each course. These questions engage students and facilitate subject mastery. All traditional HTML-based courses also have Skill Assessment modules that help determine the skill level, within each course unit, of the student. The Skill Assessment modules can be used for pre or post testing. Interactive quizzes exist in the Business Skills Video courses as well.

What exactly is a Skill Assessment module?

Each traditional HTML-based course includes a 30-question Skill Assessment that evaluates your knowledge of the course material. The Skill Assessment, accessed through the Navigate button in the course, may be taken prior to, during, or after taking the course. Scores are tracked by unit, and include initial, current, and best scores. Scores are available to the student immediately. Based on the scores received, students can skip topics in which they demonstrate proficiency, thus reducing training time.

How do I know which courses are in each subscription?

Simply go to the Homepage. The Catalog displays all course groups that you can purchase. Click a Series title to view a catalog page with more information about the courses in that Series.

How do I know what content is covered within each course?

Click a course title displayed on a Series catalog page to view a Course Summary Description sheet with all the details for that course.

Are the courses updated periodically?

Yes, new and updated courses are released quarterly. When new or updated courses that belong in your subscription are released, you will receive them free of charge during the term of your subscription.

Which courses will help me prepare for Microsoft certification exams?

Courses are offered that are specifically designed to help you study for the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and the Microsoft Office Specialist exams. The following curriculums are available: MCSE Microsoft Office Specialist Many of your e-Learning courses help prepare me for certification exams.

Where can I take these certification exams?

Many of our e-Learning courses provide you with the content and training to help prepare you for several technical and desktop application certification exams, including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCSE, Microsoft Office Specialist, ECDL, ICDL, and many more. We do not, however, perform the certification testing. Pearson VUE, Prometric, and other testing centers give the certification tests. For more information, go to the certifying organization's Web site.

Will I receive a certificate upon course completion?

You will be able to print a course completion certificate for any traditional HTML-based courses in which you score at least 70%. (One exception: The ECDL & ICDL Foundations do not allow certificates for the ECDL & ICDL courses. Instead, you must take the ECDL or ICDL examinations in order to demonstrate mastery and receive a certification.)

Can I view my course scores?

You can view your current scores for a traditional HTML-based course by clicking the "View My Scores" link on the Course Tools tab. Your scores are also displayed at the end of the Skill Assessment. The Scores table shows your scores for the current course and its Skill Assessment.

Can I view my transcript for all courses?

To view your transcript for all traditional HTML-based courses you have taken, simply click the "My Transcript" link under the My Learning tab. You will see your scores and other valuable information, including what percentage of each course you have completed and what courses you have mastered.

Can I earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?

Anyone taking one of our traditional HTML-based courses from any source can get CEUs from a partnering accrediting body. Learners must send the relevant documentation and payment to the accrediting institution and will receive a certificate granting CEUs within a few weeks of initiating the request. Documentation is located within the HTML-based courses at the "Continuing Education Units" link under the Course Tools tab.

How long may I use the courses after I purchase a subscription?

All subscriptions are good for one year from date of purchase.

What if I am not finished taking the courses after one year?

You may re-subscribe at that time. You will be sent a reminder e-mail with re-subscription instructions one month before your subscription expires.

Will the price be the same when I resubscribe?

Possibly, but if there should be a price increase before then, resubscriptions will be given at the new prices.

What if I want to buy by credit card, but not over the Internet?

We understand that shopping online can feel risky and uncertain. Because your credit card security is our highest priority we have teamed up with PAYPAL for all payment transaction. Paypal is used by many large organisation including EBAY. Your payments are secure with total encryption protection of your payment details. On top of that, Paypal offers protection against Fraud, unauthorized reading of your personal details or payment disputes.

Do you add added tax to purchases?

All prices are inclusive of Added tax. There is no extra taxes to add

What if I bought the wrong subscription?

You have two (2) days to exchange your subscription. Please e-mail us at personaluser@mindleaders.com for help in making the exchange.

What if I signed up twice by accident?

Please e-mail us at info@ls-elearning.com to request a refund of the duplicate subscription.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds will be issued within two (2) days of your purchase less Administration charge. Please e-mail us at info@ls-elearning.com to request a refund.

What if I want to cancel my subscription early?

You have paid for the full year. Refunds cannot be given more than two (2) days after purchase.
